Way back in 1750, the Ansitz Steinbock in Villandro was already a beloved meeting place dedicated to good times spent in good company. The refined cuisine was a highlight served in the old Stuben. This historical venue today remains true to its origins and its ancient mantra: “less is more”. In this vein, the bold renovation aims to recreate a new, exclusive ambience. Twelve luxury suites await guests from April 2022 onwards – hostess Elisabeth cannot wait to welcome you all to the Ansitz, the perfect location for everyone who enjoys a bit of joie de vivre.

Breakfast Royale

A spring in your step as you roll out of your King size bed. The smell of freshly made coffee conjures pictures of a richly laid table – breakfast is served. Followed by some C&C – caviar and champagne, of course.

  • Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 11 am in the main dining stube

  • You can also request room service – no surcharge added

  • Treat yourself to à la carte menu boasting select, regional pick-me-ups such as freshly baked bread and baked goods from the village bakery, dairy products, cold cuts and cheese, fresh fruit, vegetables and forest berries packed with vitamins, homemade jams, honeycomb, coffee and local tea specialities, South Tyrolean sweet sparkling wine

  • While not included in the menu, you can also request poached egg on spinach and truffle, caviar and oysters

Main dining stube

The stube has always been a great meeting place for people, be they of cheerful or more dignified disposition. A place which brings everyone together.

  • The dining stube welcomes the hotel’s guests to a warm ambience – wood-panelled walls and views over the historical village centre of Villandro.

Stain

Lunch is served. A small yet refined menu with select dishes and wines. So refined it deserves its very own name.

Welcome to the Stain, an homage to the “Stainbock Wirtstafern”, a renowned establishment already back in 1750. The younger sibling of the Ansitz Steinbock’s fine dining restaurant, it is by no means any less spectacular. Every select meal is created by chef Tomek Kinder, a sublime marriage of regional and Mediterranean influences. The Gault-Millau chef takes seasonal ingredients and transforms them into exciting masterpieces.

The lunch menu is served every day from midday to 2 pm in the Defregger Stuben. If the weather is nice, you can also opt for an al fresco experience and eat on the garden terrace.
